MARCH 2016
Wed 16: Climate Change Response: The Future? (tbc)
18:30 - 19:30, Central Library, Aberdeen
Jess Pepper, a speaker from Climate Reality will present a talk with excellent Climate Change background, and elaborating on what needs to be done now, with action becoming extremely urgent, the December 2015 Paris "agreements" seemingly in effect (but what do they really mean?), and will shine a light on the increasing divergence of spin and fact. Climate Reality is an organisation set up by Al Gore, former US presidential candidate and long term climate action advocate. He first stimulated a general public awareness with the film "An Inconvenient Truth" which managed to highlight the enormity of issues to a general non-specialist audience. |
To get an idea what Jess was talking about, here is a shorter (27min) version Al Gore presented in February 2016 at TED. |
