Museum Lates: Ice and Fire (Friday 18th March)
Friday 18 March, 7pm-9.30pm, University of Aberdeen Zoology Museum, Tillydrone Avenue, £6 (£4 concession).

Aberdeen Science Centre: Planetarium Shows (Sat 19th)
To celebrate the end of British Science Week and Earth Hour we will be running various planetarium shows throughout the day in our inflatable dome. Discover the wonders of the sun during ‘Sunstruck’ and how it’s incredible energy has supported life on earth; ‘Day & Night’ looks into the night sky with a focus on star constellations, the phases of the moon and how the stars would look if there was no light or atmospheric pollution, and ‘We Are Aliens’ which will take a closer look at Mars and Jupiter’s moon, Europa.

Science 4 Society: Design and Eco Community competition
Scientists For Global Repsonsibility (SGR) organise Science4Society Week (14-20 March).
SGR has run a Design an EcoCommunity competition for schools and students (deadline 12th February).
If your school has not taken part, then please consider doing the curriculum at your own chosen time!
There will also be lots of new resources to download from our website for students to be able to participate in lessons and activities that focus on the positive contribution that science, design and technology can make to peace, social justice and environmental sustainability. Teachers can use one lesson or the whole school can take part.
