Fraserburgh Cycle Ride by Aberdeenshire Council - Rangers
11.00am start
Enjoy a pleasant 14 mile cycle along quiet roads on the outskirts of Fraserburgh and back along the Formartine & Buchan Way. This route is deemed moderate, so some cycling experience is necessary. Free event but adults only and booking is essential.

Science and Climate Change in an Alternative Facts World: A Panel Debate by University of Aberdeen /
10:00 – 12:00 at: University of Aberdeen
During British Science Week and Climate Week, it is an appropriate time to examine the role of science, and our understanding of climate change, in a world where alternative facts are seen by some to have the same currency as real facts. Leading UK Climate Change scientists will present short talks examining the importance of science and evidence for policy making, the role of science in understanding climate change, the Paris Agreement, and what might happen if the US withdraws from the Paris Agreement.

A U rated animated film about the last robot on Earth who tries to tidy all the mess that humans and robots have made. One day he becomes aware of a light probe in the sky and which leads on to new adventures for our planet loving robot

Join Nuno Sacramento and Dr Leslie Mabon during Aberdeen Climate Week for a special conversation addressing the intersections between culture and sustainability in Aberdeen. Nuno and Leslie will discuss with the Green Tease network key questions about Aberdeen’s future social, economic and environmental sustainability, and the role of art and art institutions in creating an independent framework for addressing these concerns. Join us for a panel of speakers with very different backgrounds, but similar goals: to reduce carbon and give back to the environment. Gain inspiration from hearing about and engaging with local community projects and learn about other community projects in the accompanying exhibition. Alone or in concert there is so much we can do to mitigate Climate Change and help our planet.;
